Our Road Trip! From Texas to Cali!

Well, we headed to Cali on the 18th! Here is a rundown of our trip and some pics!

Thursday Sept 18

11:30 am Picked up mother in law & sister in law from the airport.

12:00-4:00 pm Ate lunch, relaxed a bit, finished cleaning and loaded up the last bit.

4:00 pm Headed out!


5:30 pm Made our first stop.


6:00-8:30 pm Drove

8:30 pm Stopped in Sonora, TX for the night. Still had about 400 miles til we got out of Texas!

Friday Sept 19

5:00 am Woke up


6:15 am Checked out of hotel & filled up gas

6:45 am Hit the road

9:00 am Made our first stop of the day

9:15 am Hit the road

10:45 (9:45) am Changed time zone

1:09 (12:09) pm Made it to New Mexico!!


2:40 (1:40) pm Stopped to eat at McDs


4:20 (3:20) pm Hit road again

4:40 (3:40) pm Made it to Arizona!!!


6:00 (4:00) pm Made a pit stop

6:30 (5:30) pm Hit the road again

9:00 (7:00) pm Stopped in Goodyear (outside of Phoenix) for the night.

Saturday Sept 20

7:00 (5:00) am Wake up

8:45 (6:45) am Check out of hotel and gas up

9:00 (7:00) am Hit the road

10:45 (8:45) am Made first stop of the day

10:55 (8:55) am Hit the road

11:00 (9:00) am Made it to Cali!!!


12:15 (10:15 am) pm Made our last stop

12:30 (10:30 am) pm Hit the road for our last stretch!

2:45 (12:45) pm Made it home!!!

She's here!!!!!

Miss Nadia Nicole has made her arrival on Monday, July 21st, 2008

At around 6:30-6:45 in the morning, I woke up to a gush. At first I didnt think anything, thought oops, I peed. So I got up, went to the restroom and decided to go ahead and get ready for work. I took a shower and got dressed. I then felt another gush. At 7:15 I woke up David and told him to be ready. I wasnt having contractions, but after 2 gushes, I wanted to make sure he was ready to go. Around 7:30 I called my ob and left a message for the nurse to call me back. I then called work and told them what was going on. Right before 8, I had another gush. This time it had blood so I told David screw it, Im not waiting for the nurse to call me back. Lets go.

I got to the hospital at around 8:30. Right when I got there, the nurse called. She said to just go into the office instead. Its next door so it was no biggie. When I got to the office, they took me back right away. When my ob came in to check me, I had another gush and I was dialated to 1 1/2 cm, 50% effaced. She then told me to head to L&D to be induced. By 9:15 am I was admitted and in my room. By 9:45, my IV was in and so was the pitocin. I still wasnt having contractions. By 10:15 I started to finally get contractions and they were 2 minutes apart.

At 11:15, they gave me my epi and I was dialated to 3 cm. By 12:15, I was 5 cm and fully effaced. The nurse laughed and said that I probably didnt need the pitocin since I was going quick. By 12:40, I was at a 7-8 cm. Then within a few minutes went to a 9, then a 10. After pushing for about 10 minutes, she was out!

Nadia Nicole was born at 1:12 pm, weighed 6lbs, 4oz and was 19 inches long.

On Saturday the 21st, my mom and sister in law threw my baby shower. We had a really good turnout and I got a bunch of goodies. Here are some pictures from that day!

Starting off the new school year...

12/12/07 Well, a lot has changed since the last time I updated this. We moved and are back at Northwest Elementary. Gabriel is in Mr. Williams' third grade class and Angelica is in Mrs Franco's first grade class. They have reunited with old friends and have made new friends.

Gabriel quit soccer after the first game. Turns out, it wasn't for him. Hopefully he finds something else he likes.

8/28/07 Well, today the kids started their first day of school for this year. They were both very excited and soooo ready! Gabriel is in the 3rd grade and his teacher is Miss Lamp. Angelica is in the 1st grade and her teacher is Ms. Andon. Both their teachers seem really nice. I hope they have a great year this year.

Also, Gabriel started soccer practice yesterday. He is in the U9 league and his team is the Dragons. They play on a bigger field and have bigger goals. He was really excited to start. He is one of the new kids on the team, but he will quickly become one of the them!

Updates

Wow, it's been over a month since I've updated this! A lot has happened! I finished school and have been doing my extern. I now have less than 200 hours to go! It has gone by sooooo fast. I can't believe I am almost completely done! The kids have been doing great. They both got promoted to the next grade! Angie will be in 1st and Gabe will be in 3rd. My how time has gone by! Gabe made his 1st communion back on May 5th. Everything has been going good in my life. I will try and keep this updated, as much as I can!
